of Victory Airshow
A BIG SUCCESS
The
airshow was a success in terms of the show for the public and also
as a financial success. All the bills are not in but at this time
the squadron will make in the neighborhood of $20,000.00. This is
the first time the show actually made money. That is what we’ve
needed to grow the organization and to do the things that we have
been hoping to do.
This
was the first year that we sold water and ice cream and that was a
contributing factor to our financial success.
BIG
THANKS TO Fred Kaiser who is this month’s newsletter sponsor.
This kind of help from generous members helps the Squadron
succeed. THANKS FRED.
If you’d
like to sponsor a newsletter call Bob at 614-846-2876. It’s only
$65 and will allow you to dedicate the issue to family or
friend.
However
all of this depended on the many volunteers who made it possible.
There is no way of thanking those who contributed so much hard
work. They were marvelous and gave everything they could for no
pay. We are very indebted to their efforts.
A
spectacular array of aircraft were featured at the show along with
the military encampments and parachute demonstrations. The crowds
seemed pleased with all of the activity available for their
enjoyment.
Bob
and Bruce along with the two other A- 6 pilots put on a fantastic
show for the spectators with their aerial demonstrations of
precision flying formations and smoke demonstrations. We had good
media coverage. Everyone is looking forward to next years show. Incidentally
we are already at work booking planes for next year.
Last
but not least we all owe a big thanks to the show committee who
spent endless hours and days putting the show together.
DON’T
FORGET THE GAHANNA FLEA MARKET Call Diane McDaniel to make
arrangements for donated items and to sign-up and to volunteer.
614- 885- 2122. LET’S CONTINUE OUR RECORD BREAKING YEAR !
SPECIAL
THANKS TO MIKE LORENZI Mike sold one of the radials for us and
thus increased our treasury. Thanks Mike.
