The Invader - November & December 2006

An all-volunteer, non-profit organization to the restoration,
display and operation of former military aircraft.

WINGS OF VICTORY AIRSHOW BRINGS CENTRAL OHIO IT’S ONLY ANNUAL WARBIRD SHOW.

WARBIRDS AND REINACTORS ARE ALWAYS AT THE AIRSHOWS.

WE ARE PROUD TO BRING HISTORIC
AIRCRAFT TO FAIRFIELD COUNTY

In order to fulfill our mission we must continue to recruit new members and leaders who will continue this legacy. Leaders must step forward who can meet the challenges and find ways of solving the ever present financial challenges. Each year a few new members rise to these issues in varying degrees. Contact new potential members and encouraging them to join HAS now. Leaders rise to the challenge and that next member may be the next person who steps forward to help HAS in the future.

VOLUNTEERS MAKE IT HAPPEN
continued from last month...

Last month we recognized many of the volunteers who keep this squadron flying high. This month we’d like to mention a few more. Have you ever noticed how some people who are always here seem to work like paid help. Their heads are down and busy with the task of the moment. Other times they are organizing others in order to get everything done. Well one of those dedicated persons is Kathy Ridgway. It seems like she is at every event, every meeting, always volunteering to do more. During a recent TV interview, Diane McDaniel stated, “If it wasn’t for the ladies who are members of HAS much of the necessary details would never get done.” She is so right. Those valuable ladies include herself, continued from last month... VOLUNTEERS MAKE IT HAPPEN Melinda Rutherford, Barbara Seymour and others who seem to always be here and doing all the valuable details which make HAS a successful organization. Barb Seymour now wears many hats and with ease. Secretary, Treasurer, PR Specialist, Volunteer Coordinator and whatever the need that may arise. Did I say with ease? Well we all know better..... It takes a lot of work and that special winning attitude. Jim Ridgway our past president is a dynamic force within our squadron. He is everywhere doing what ever it takes. Hats off to our volunteers.
