 PRESIDENT'S CORNER... from Jim Ridgway

Spring is trying to arrive but winter wants to hang on for one more hurrah.

We are still looking for help with the poker tournaments we will be having in our hangar. We have several scheduled and interest shown in having future ones. We will be handling the concession sales for these events. Even if you can only give us a couple of hours, if would help and be appreciated.

The media luncheon was a success and hopefully will give us more exposure to help increase our members and get the information out we are there.

The R-1820 engine has a new stand thanks to the Wednesday crew and the donation of the metal to do it with.

Bob DeLay with the help of the Wednesday crew has moved the Wright Flyer so we could begin moving the heating system to facilitate the construction of offices upstairs.

Diane McDaniel has organized an ammo party for Wednesday, the 4th of May after lunch until they have as much fun as they can stand. Wish to thank Sid Roberts and his friends along with Paul Ailing for helping get this started. The ammo is an expended or dummy round of different caliber munitions we turn into items we sell in our PX. It has been a good seller at the different air shows we take the PX to.

We are looking for donations for the Fly-n-Flea market we will be having June 11th. If you have items you wish to donate bring them to the hangar. We are still looking for vendors who wish to set up at the flea market also. If you know someone or wish to yourself, contact us at the hangar.

Jim Ridgway
